Revgear Original Thai Boxing Gloves – Traditional Style with Modern Protection

The Revgear Original Thai Boxing Gloves are high-performance gloves specifically engineered for the demands of Muay Thai and kickboxing. They combine an authentic Thai cut with modern technology for superior hand and wrist protection. Crafted from premium cowhide leather, these gloves offer exceptional durability for intense training sessions. The triple-layer foam padding effectively absorbs impact, making them ideal for sparring, pad work, and heavy bag training.

A standout feature is the VENTED PALMS with double stitching. This breathable design allows the gloves to dry faster between sessions, preventing moisture buildup. The wide Crossover Ultra-Lock™ closure system ensures a secure wrist fit and overall grip stability, which is crucial for injury prevention.

Choosing the Right Size and Weight

The weight of boxing gloves in ounces (OZ) determines not just the physical size, but primarily the level of padding and the intended use. Use the table below to find your perfect fit:

Size / Weight Hand Circumference (cm) Primary Use
10 oz (S) 15 – 19 cm Competition, pads, and heavy bag work.
12 oz (M) 19 – 21.5 cm General training and technical drills.
14 oz (L) 21.5 – 24 cm Strength training and light sparring (up to 75kg).
16 oz (XL) 24 cm and above Recommended for safe sparring.
How to measure your hand? Measure the circumference of your dominant hand at the widest point across the knuckles (excluding the thumb). If you use thick hand wraps or fall between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are these gloves suitable for Western Boxing?
Yes. While they feature a Thai-style cut with a shorter cuff for better clinch work, they perform excellently for traditional boxing and fitness training as well.
How do I maintain leather boxing gloves?
Airflow is key. Thanks to the vented palms, they dry quickly, but always remove them from your gym bag after training. An occasional application of leather conditioner will help keep the material supple.
