The Rival Expandable Backpack solves a problem every boxer knows: some days you only carry gloves and wraps, other days it's the full kit for a competition. Thanks to its expandable design, the backpack grows with you – zipped down it stays compact enough for the office or the commute, and once you open the expansion panels it swallows a much bigger training load. It's built from durable polyester with a smooth inner lining that handles daily life in the changing room and on the road.

The main zip compartment takes gloves, wraps, clothes, a towel and shoes. The padded laptop compartment keeps your tech safe, so one backpack covers the office in the morning and the gym in the evening. Front, top and two side zip pockets handle the small stuff – keys, phone, wallet, mouthguard or tape all have their place instead of ending up at the bottom of the bag.

How does the expandable design work and what does it actually give me?

The backpack has expansion panels that enlarge the main compartment once you unzip them. When you're only carrying gloves and wraps, leave it zipped and use it as a compact everyday backpack. For training or competition, expand it and add shoes, a towel and the rest of your kit – instead of two bags you only need one backpack.

Will boxing gloves and a laptop fit at the same time?

Yes. The laptop has its own padded compartment separated from the main space, so it never sits against damp gear. Gloves, wraps and clothing go into the main zip compartment, which holds significantly more once expanded.

Can I take it on a plane as carry-on luggage?

The backpack is designed to match standard airline carry-on dimensions. Limits do vary between carriers, especially when the bag is expanded – always check your airline's current rules before flying.

How should I care for it so it lasts?

Keep it out of the washing machine and the dryer – heat and excess water damage polyester, lining and stitching. Wipe it down with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner, then let it air-dry in the shade. After training, open the backpack up and let it breathe: trapped sweat and moisture are the biggest enemy of any sports bag.
