Black Camo Grizzly Jiu-Jitsu Rash Guard SS – Low-Key Look, Serious Performance
The Revgear Grizzly rash guard in black camo pairs the durability of a proper training top with a design that holds its own in any gym. The short sleeve leaves your forearms completely free for grips, while the compression fit supports the muscles and holds off fatigue through long rounds on the mat. The camo graphic is bonded straight into the fibre by full sublimation, so it won't crack or fade.
The polyester-elastane performance blend with 4-way stretch gives in every direction and snaps straight back. Whether you're locking in a triangle, sprawling or working from guard, the fabric follows the movement without pinching or riding up.
The quick-dry finish pulls sweat off the skin to the surface, where it evaporates. The top doesn't soak through, doesn't get heavy, and gives your opponent nothing slippery to hold. It also acts as a hygienic barrier between you and the mat, cutting down the risk of mat burn and skin infections.
The flat Flat-Lock seams don't dig in or chafe under the arms. Contrasting black raglan sleeves open up the shoulder's range of motion, and the hem stays put even after fifty minutes of rolling. The Grizzly bear on the back, with its nod to the brand's Californian roots dating to 1996, gives the whole thing a character the black camo only sharpens.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What size should I go for?
A rash guard is meant to sit tight against the body – that's what makes the compression work. Take your usual T-shirt size. If you're between sizes or prefer a looser feel, size up. Go too big, though, and it will ride up during grappling and lose the point.
Will the camo print fade in the wash?
No. Sublimation fixes the colour inside the fibre itself rather than sitting on the surface. Neither the camo pattern nor the Grizzly logo will crack, peel or fade, even after dozens of wash cycles. Wash inside out at 30 °C without fabric softener and dry in the air.
Short or long sleeve for BJJ?
Short sleeves breathe better in a warm gym and free up the shoulder, which suits MMA and striking work. Long sleeves protect the forearms and elbows from mat burn far better. Most grapplers end up owning both.
Can I wear it under a gi?
In training, yes. The thin compression fabric doesn't bunch up under the gi, wicks sweat away and protects the skin from the rough cotton of the kimono. At competitions, what you can wear under the jacket comes down to the federation's rules, so check them in advance.
Can I compete in it at a no-gi tournament?
This model is built for training and open mats, not for official IBJJF events – those require a rash guard in black, white or black and white carrying a portion of your belt colour. A camo pattern doesn't meet that. Other federations set their own rules, so always check the organiser's regulations for local tournaments. If you need something specifically for IBJJF, go for the Ranked models in belt colours.
