Ground Game Samurai Boxing Hand Wraps 4 m
The Ground Game Samurai hand wraps are the piece of kit you only think about when you've forgotten them. Four metres of cotton-polyester blend brace the wrist, bind the metacarpal bones together and keep your fist in the anatomically correct position on every bag shot and pad round. The wide, flat hook-and-loop closure holds the way it should – it won't peel open mid-round and force you to stop.
The fabric is a deliberate compromise. Pure cotton braces well but has no give, takes practice to wrap and stretches out faster. Pure polyester is easy to over-tighten and cut off circulation. The 60/40 blend hits the sweet spot: the wrap moulds to your hand, sits flat without ridges and holds its shape after dozens of washes.
Four metres is the universal standard. You get enough material to properly cover the wrist, knuckles and thumb without the wrap bunching into a lump inside the glove. It works for both the classic and the Thai wrapping method.
The Samurai graphic is sublimated rather than surface-printed, so the colours won't flake off after months of training and washing. Bonus: the wraps soak up sweat before it reaches your gloves, which extends glove life and keeps your gym bag civil.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Is 4 metres the right length for me?
Four metres is the most universal length on the market and suits the vast majority of adults. Shorter wraps (2.5–3 m) don't give you enough layers around the wrist, longer ones (5 m) are harder to wrap neatly and bunch up inside the glove. If you have particularly small hands, just add one extra pass around the wrist.
Why a cotton-polyester blend instead of 100% cotton?
Cotton braces well and absorbs sweat, but it has no stretch and takes practice to wrap – done badly, it loosens fast. Polyester adds controlled elasticity, so the wrap settles onto the shape of your hand and doesn't stretch out. The 60/40 mix combines both: long service life and a precise fit without the risk of cutting off circulation.
How should I wash my hand wraps?
Wash after every session on a gentle cycle up to 30 °C, and fasten the hook-and-loop to itself first so it doesn't chew up the rest of your laundry. Skip the tumble dryer – lay them flat instead. Wash the first time separately or with similar colours, as bold prints can bleed slightly. Always store them dry and rolled; a damp wrap left in your bag is a guaranteed smell.
Boxing only, or MMA and Muay Thai too?
They work across all striking sports – boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA. Wear them under boxing gloves for bag work, pads and sparring. Open-finger MMA gloves usually call for a shorter wrap, but 4 metres is plenty for that too – you simply leave out a few passes.
