Bag gloves are designed exclusively for punching bags or focus mitts. Universal gloves can be used for both, but with some compromises in durability.

Using gloves outside their intended purpose — such as hitting a heavy bag with sparring gloves — leads to faster wear and tear. Damage caused by improper use is not covered under warranty. Likewise, using gloves for strength exercises (like push-ups) can deform the structure and cause internal damage.
